All set for Miss UZ 2017 Edition

The annual Miss UZ charity pageant organized by Rotaract UZ will come to life tomorrow, April 29 at the University of Zimbabwe Great hall. The 2017 edition will encompass three categories with the twelve contestants and a final round of questions for the finalists. It promises to be an event of glitz and glamour hosting both UZ students and non UZ students, the young, the older, the bold and the beautiful. Artists lined up this year include Boom Betto of the “kudonhedza musika” fame, he is expected to show the ladies how to make a statement on stage, there will be big appearances from established artists like EX Q, Bryan K, Dobba don and Tamy. Hip hop fans will be dazed by H3nry, the djs include DJ Cue9. The event will also introduce local talents from University of Zimbabwe.
The event running under the theme “make a statement” seeks to discover beauty that does not merely but that builds something substantial in communities of Zimbabwe. The girls on Independence Day took some time to visit Hupenyu Hutsva orphanage and make a difference there. Hupenyu Hutsva is the beneficiary for all profits which will be made at Miss UZ 2017.
The event is set to start at 5pm until 11pm. Every guest will have a feel of the paparazzi on the red carpet for every attending member as the event will also be broadcasted by YGT. Tickets are pegged at $5 general, $ 7 terrace and $ 20 VIP (includes the best seats and a meal with juice) for those who are non UZ students. For UZ students it will be $3general, $5 terrace and $15 VIP.
