Olwethu Vavi: More Than Just Another Aspiring Model

My name is Olwethu Vavi, I am a 23 years old from Northern Cape but I'm currently in Pretoria.
I'm studying Office Administration at Rosebank College.
I love reading, writing poems and I love dancing as well.
I am very passionate about writing. Since I am not a talkative person, I find it easier expressing my thoughts and feelings through writing and mostly bringing them to life in the form of short poems.
I am a strong Christian, I love going to church, I love spending some alone time and dedicating my energy towards my dreams.

My mother left me when I was a little girl so I was raised by my grandmother, who taught me a lot of things about life, she taught me how to love, care, give and most important of all, to follow my dreams.
I love kids a lot, I love meeting new people and making friends.
I have a 2-year old daughter who is naturally the center of my world and I adore her very much.

My family has always been there for me and after my baby-daddy left, they helped me raise my daughter. There was a time that I didn't want to complete my studies because I didn't want to be like my mom but then I realised that if I want my daughter to have a better future I should go back to the college and finish my studies. Everything I do, I do it for my daughter.

After completing my studies this year, I wanna get a part time job and go into modeling school. I am also interested PR (Public Relations).
I wanna go into modelling fulltime because it is something that I am very passionate about, so look out for little me!

God willing, my hope is that by this time 5 years from now I would have made mark in the modelling world and left a lasting impression in the hearts and minds of people out there!

I hope that sharing my story can inspire other young women out there and prove to them that despite what life throws at you, as long as you have the hope and you are willing to fight for your goals......nothing and and most certainly, noone, can stand in your way.
