Miss Zim-USA pageant ready to take center stage

MISS Zimbabwe-USA 2017 organisers have confirmed that all is set for the Miss Zim-USA pageant that is set to be held this weekend (May 27).
The pageant is part of the Zim Expo Business Consortium Memorial Weekend that is taking place from May 26-29 in Atlanta Georgia and the organisers have said it is their goal to crown a young woman endowed with beauty, intelligence and purpose.
ZimExpo Business Consortium co-founder and director of Miss Zimbabwe International, Anesu Manjengwa confirmed that everything was going according to schedule and that they were now down to the finishing touches.
"We expect this year's ZimExpo Business Consortium to be the biggest looking at the business companies who have enlisted to exhibit, and ofcouse the highlight of the Expo the Miss Zim-USA pageant.
"The winner should be willing to support uplift and assist the Zimbabwean community in the American diaspora and fellow Zimbabweans back home", said Manjengwa.

Building up to Miss Zim-USA pageant itself will be a lot of business exhibitions and performances starting this Friday and to kick-start theMemorial Weekend will be a performance from renowned South African artist, DJ Sbu.
Saturday, being the big day, will be filled with a lot of activities with the highlight of the ZimExpo being the Miss Zim-USA pageant. The Expo will close down its curtains on Sunday with a family day where there will be a soccer tournament and Braii.
Embassy services will be made available at the ZimExpo to help those in need of Visas, temporary travel documents and police clearance.

The Miss Zimbabwe-USA pageant inaugurated in 2000 and has become the most prestigious of events, an event most looked forward to and respected  on the calendars of Zimbabweans living in the USA.
Miss Zimbabwe-USA has for 17 years provided a platform for the grooming of young women to become inspirational role models.
The winner will take over the reign from Miss Zimbabwe-USA 2016, Andile Nobuhle Mpofu.
Miss Zim-USA pageant is open to young Zimbabwean women aged between 17 and 24 who reside in the US. They have to be of Zimbabwean origin or have at least one Zimbabwean parent by birth, citizenship or registration.
The outgoing queen, Mpofu, was also Miss Africa Washington State 2016 after shrugging off stiff competition from 10 other contestants.
Previous winners include Wadzanai Thembani, Makho Ndlovu, Sandra Nduna, Farai Moyo, Farai Gundani, Kaya Chipungu, Elizabeth Chitseko, Busi Mlambo, Sibongile Mlambo and Thandekile Mellissa Rhoades.
