Cassper Nyovest ready to rock Zimbabwe

He is arguably one of the biggest acts on the continent right now and he is set to touch down on our soil for a couple of shows, starting with the one in the 'City of Kings and Queens', Bulawayo on the 15th of this month.

Love him or hate him but you just cannot ignore his immense talent or what he has done for hiphop on the African continent since most of heard him on that breakthrough single 'Doc Shebeleza'.

Born Refiloe Maele Phoolo in Mafikeng roughly 26 years ago and professionally recognized as Cassper Nyovest, the South African recording artist and record producer's star has peaked in the last couple of years.
His debut album Tsholofelo was released on 18 July 2014 and the rapper is currently signed to his own independent label and media company, Family Tree.

Nyovest has released three studio albums, seventy-seven singles and ten music videos...and counting. He is reported to have sold over half a million albums, and his music has been released on record labels Universal Music South Africa and Family Tree Records. Nyovest has the most number one hits on the 5FM Top 40 Chart as a rap artist, he has the most number one hits on the Entertainment Monitoring Africa.

Thuto is the third studio album by the South African recording artist, a follow-up to his 2015 album Refiloe, was released on 5 May 2017 by his imprint Family Tree Records with support from Bridge Entertainment.
Much like his debut and sophomore albums, Thuto attained platinum status.

Cassper himself described the project as "his best work yet", and claimed the album reached gold status on the first day of its release.
Upon announcing the tracklist through Instagram, Cassper revealed that he had named the album "Thuto" in dedication to his elder sister Thuto Phoolo, whose birthday coincided with the album's release date.
The album's chief promotional single was of course the amthemic "Tito Mboweni" a track that featured vocal guest appearances by Tsepo Tshola, Black Thought, Nadia Nakai, Tshego, Goapele and Riky Rick.

If Nyovest's energetic perfomances are anything to go by then the Bulawayo folk is in for a treat. They will get the chance to sample his long list of hits including the brand new single 'Destiny'.
This is that same guy who is famous for having #filledUpTheDome after all!
