Mahachi collaborates with Tuku on new single

Locally, everyone in the music industry knows that there is no bigger endorsement of any artist's talent than having the iconic Oliver 'Tuku' Mtukudzi on a record.
To have him on your project in any capacity speaks volumes of your own stature or potential.
Well, award winning gospel musician Tatenda Mahachi has done just that.
He recently released a new song and video titled 'Ndisiye' that featured the legend himself, Oliver Mtukudzi.
Officially launched at the end of August at Ster Kinekor in the capital, the single was produced by Mcdonald Chidavaenzi at Eternity Music and the visuala were directed by Vusa Blaqs.

The amazing visuals for the video were shot in 3 locations, the Rainbow Towers Lounge located on the 14th floor of the hotel, the house scene was shot in Hatfield while the club scenes were shot at 1+1 Club at Long Chen Plaza.

This collaboration is sure to go a long way in cementing Mahachi's name back here at home and in the region as well.

_So just who is Tatenda Mahachi?

The young gospel artist came up through Mega Praise, a Zimbabwean "super group" comprising artists from various church denomination and musical backgrounds.
His previous video Usacheme was the first ever by a Zimbabwean artist to be played  on one of the largest religious tv stations, TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network).
The video is still enjoying favourable airplay up to this day on other top tv stations like One gospel, Sabc, Zambezi magic.etc


Tatenda  has  also  collaborated  with  and  shared  the  stage  with  various  artists spanning different genres. From gospel luminaries such as Isaac Simpsons  (USA), S'fiso Ncwane, Rebecca Mhlope, Joyous Celebration, Lundi Tyamara, Benjamin Dube (South Africa), Mechanic Manyeruke and Shingisai Suluma to talented artists such as Marbel Madondo, Mono Mukundu, Carol Wutawunashe, Dudu Manhenga, Prudence Katomeni Mbofana and Clare Nyakujara, to mention but a few.

_Honors and Career Highlights

Tatenda is also actively involved in a number of humanitarian projects.
In 2014 Tatenda was appointed as the ambassador for CATCH(Care at the Core Humanity), a Zimbabwean NGO.

_Crown Gospel Awards 2014 

Became the first Zimbabwean Gospel musician to be invited for the Crown Gospel Awards, the biggest gospel awards show in South Africa. 
While in South Africa, Tatenda recorded a song with S'fiso Ncwane, titled "Ndinoda Jesu" which garnered considerable airplay.
