"UBUNTU NQABA NGQO, is an isiNdebele/IsiZulu phrase which means UBUNTU IS THE ATMOST PRINCIPLE ABOVE EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN AND IT IS A UNIVERSAL DOCTRINE FOR HUMANITY", said author Mthulisi Ndlovu in reference to his debut literary effort that was officially launches this past December down south.

"Well the book has already been published (October) but we had not done a proper book launch ceremony. Therefore this was done here in Johanesburg, South Africa on the 10th of Dec 2017 at Sharp n Bezuidenhout namba 2 Natal court, Yeoville. Everyone was therefore invited to come and witness the launch of a lifetime piece which sought to correct and redirect the fundamentals of HUMANITY", he added.

Ndlovu shed light into what motivated him into writing what has been described as 'the longest poem in local publishing history'.
"Partly what motivated me to pen this longest poem was the desire to tell the world our story in our Indigenious language and show people that we shouldn't be ashamed by who we are as Zimbabweans in terms of values, vibrant norms and our undying culture of togetherness, peacefulness and love. I basically want to revive the spirit of jelously conserving our indeginous languages as I believe in them comes our story, our history and our pride as a people, thus giving us identity with a strong foundation.
"You know it pains me a lot, to see a world which is now being dominated by people who rejoice and blastfame in taboos and inhuman systematic habits i.e tribalism, racism, social segregation based on gender and socio-political status, modern day slavery etc. We are living in a world where the majority is claiming to be 'free men at last', hence we are still enslaved by the circus chains of hate, unforgiveness and social injustice", he said.

The author delved a little deeper into what his inspirational literary work focused on and with all the conflicts and ills that continue to ravage today's world, his book is definitely one of the most relevant and socially-conscious pieces of art of our time.
"Basically this book touches on various ends of our social basis and course as a people i.e our expected roles in our societies and our fundamental/core call of duty in uplifting one another, motivating in being better people. Encouraging a two way dialogue to enhance mutual understandings amongst the people thus curbing conflicts and promoting civil interactions in solving disputes", said Mthulisi.

Ndlovu reckons that his book, if received, will ultimately inspire not only a better society but the individuals themselves because he believes that at the end of the day they are the 'custodians of humanity'.
"If the world receives this book with both hands; The dream of making this world a better place which has been termed and declared 'a dream impossible' by many, surely we shall experience a fair and a new world dominated by many people sacrificing their souls to being the custodians of HUMANITY", he said.

The writer said there were names he felt he needed to acknowledge, names he felt deserved special mention for the various roles they played in bringing his project to life.
"In this book I had the pririvilege to work with outstanding individuals like Pathisa Nyathi, Njabulo Moyo, Mongi Moyo, Prince Moyo, Bhekinkosi Nkomo and Marshal Chiza. It has been a huge blessing working with these great and humble souls and may God richly bless them exeedingly", said Ndlovu.

'UBUNTU NQABA NGQO' surely promises to be quite a captivating read and one book that any avid reader out there would not want to miss out on. It is in fact a mirror of today's world and it not only brings out what is inevitably tearing our social fabric but also profers solutions as well. It promises to be quite the captivating read, a book that we all need to get our hands on because at the end of the day, there is a lot that we can learn from it.
