Amahle just keeps on slaying

For Amahle Mthembu, everyday is not only a chance to learn something new but an opportunity to grow as well and thus should not be wasted!
"Learning never stops and each new day presents us with an opportunity to learn, to be great and touch other people's lives while at it", she said.

The 22 year old who is also a second year Human Resource Management student believes that her life should not be defined by the circumstances that life throws her way. She managed to rise from the ashes like the proverbial phoenix after her world had been turned upside down by the untimely death of her mother.
"The loss of my mum to a stroke in 2013 was heartbreaking. It really tore me apart because she was not just my mother but my number one fan and supporter as well. I felt like my whole world fell apart.
"She was one supportive human being. Having grown up as a dancer it naturally took me places and my mum was always there every step of the way", said Mthembu.

The upcoming model said that it was last year that she decided upon professionally pursuing a career in modeling and she did so with the help of a really close friend and mentor.
"Late last year I decided that besides studying I wanted to do something fun and something that would bring about growth, modelling gave me the opportunity to do just that.
"I was inspired by this very close friend of mine, Lerato, who was Miss Soweto (Social Butterfly) who became my mentor and groomed me into the model I am today. More importantly, she helped me gain my confidence back.
"She saw the love and potential that was in me and how it needed somebody to tap into it and she was just the right person to do it", said the 22_year old.

Amahle 'the slayer', as she is known to her faithful followers believes that it is only a matter of time before she breaks through.
"I am pushing boundaries and I am living my dream. I recently founded my own company and though it is taking time, I am slowly but surely getting there.
"Finally I will be able to make my mark not only as a model but as a businesswoman, motivational speaker and entrepreneur", she said.

Modelling is the fulfilment of a life_long passion for the leggy Amahle and everyday brings with it moments to cherish.
"Being a semi-finalist at the Face of Vilakazi 2016 peagent was awesome!. It opened my eyes to a whole lot more than I had expected.
"I was recently crowned the first ever Queen of Walk Live-A-Mark Foundation. It is my first title and one that i do cherish dearly.
"Having the chance to meet people that i grew up watching on tv and idolizing is special. Getting to not only meet but be mentored by Sophia Ndaba from generations was quite humbling", said the beauty queen.

The 22_year old has always been the kind of person that loves to help others whenever and wherever she can and she sees this as a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in guiding the younger generation.
The coming year also presents her with the chance to grow her brand and also go out into the world.
"I have always wanted to grow and be a mentor to others. Hopefully I can be there to impart knowledge and inspire the stars of tomorrow.
"Besides that, I focused on growing my brand, my company, getting the much-needed exposure, completing my diploma and of course graduatiing.
"I see myself heading out into the world, exploring africa and beyond. There is so much out there for me to see and do", said Amahle.

The model also took the time to acknowledge those who have always stood by her since day one.
"My dad, Simphiwe Mthembu was one of the people who was supportive and had been there but lowkey about it, I do appreciate that a lot..I also cannot forget my closest friends for being there for me through thick and thin...they have all been such a blessing  in my life", she said.
