Mc Chita embarks on #iChitarisiro Tour

Multi award winning hip hop artist, Mc Chita is about to embark on the international leg of his highly acclaimed #iChitarisiro Tour. After already performing at festivals and events around Zimbabwe (in Bulawayo, Kariba and Harare to name a few), he is now ready to take his music to Cape Town, South Africa, where he is billed to perform at three separate events. The Reign in The City festival on the 22nd of February, The South Groove Mafia Sound Party on the 24th of February, and Live at the Open Streets in the Observatory on the 25th of February.

Mc Chita is regarded by many in Zim Hip-hop as a legend in the game with a string of hits gracing the local airwaves, most notably Dandaro, which was released back in 2012 with fellow Zimbabwean artist, Roki. Over the past few years, Mc Chita released two albums, iChitarisiro 1, also known as Ndinonzi Chitarisiro, and iChitarisiro 2, also known as Ndini Chitarisiro. Both projects from the 2 part series were received with critical and commercial acclaim.

When asked about his trip to Cape Town, and what he hopes to achieve with this tour, Mc Chita had this to say, “Obviously I’m hoping to push the brand Mc Chita, as well as the music which I have to offer, but I’m also hoping to spread love and the culture of Zim Hip-hop. It would be really dope if I could leave Cape Town with a few collaborations under my belt.”
Mc Chita has also worked with a number of international artists, such as Teflon from Jamaica, Zephy Oldies from Malawi, and Munga Honorable from Jamaica. For more on Mc Chita and his music check the following links:
