Nommie Unleashes 2 Brand New Singles!

Leicester, England based singer/songwriter Nomthandazo 'Nommie' Dube is set to drop 2 brand new singles this month.
The 2 songs, an rnb one titled 'In a Red Dress' and another a house track called 'Akekho' promise to not only empower the listener but also keep a few feet shuffling this Summer!
'In A Red Dress' has already been sampled on BBC Introducing and is doing relatively well for the musician.

"The original concept for the song came from Charlie Kay who produced the song and we ran with it. The song is about a female who is good at playing the game and knows how to get her own way. She works hard and will steal your heart in the process. I know both male and females will relate to it.
"So far we've had a great commercial response to the song and it's already been played on BBC Introducing and it will be made available on all platforms soon", said Nommie while speaking to Urban Craft from her base in England.

The pop/rnb star had always wanted to one day experiment with a deep house sound and the second single 'Akekho', a collaboration with Dj Judge Jo and Brucey B, gave her the chance to do just that.

"I've been saying for a while how much I would love to dabble into the commercial/deep house scene so one day DJ Judge Jo contacted me with some awesome work him and Brucey B (the producer of the song) had been working on.
"Within minutes I had written a melody to one of the beats and it became a really sweet love song that I recorded and that's how Akekho came together. It's also the first time that I've sung in Ndebele and I'm sure house fans and fans of good music will love it. You can't help but smile when you hear it, it's going to be a summer smash!", said Nommie.

Being able to touch her listeners' hearts and minds is something that Nomthandazo lives and does music for, irregardless of the genre.
"My main mission when I write or sing a song is for it to touch someone. I want you to be moved, whether you want to feel sexy and empowered listen to In A Red Dress or if you want to feel like you're falling in love, listen to Akekho.
"I want my supporters to know that I'll always appeal to all their emotions and cater to all their vibes whether that's in the form of R&B or in the form of House Music", she said.

Looking ahead, the strikingly beautiful singer/songwriter hopes to carry the momentum that she has so far garnered in these last couple of months.
"I've been featured on BBC Introducing again and this time with the song In A Red Dress. This is a great start to the year and it's like receiving a nod of recognition from the music industry. It feels like you're doing something right and I just want to carry on that momentum", she said.

Nommie is a singer/songwriter who describes her sound as eclectic Urban Pop R&B. She has been featured on BBC Introducing for her singles Love Disease and In A Red Dress. The artist has also been nominated for several awards including ZIMAA UK Female Artist of the Year. Nommie is no doubt a gifted/exciting performer and she has showcased her talent at various platforms such as Summer Jam London, Zimbabwean Achievers Awards UK and the O2 Arena, opening up for international acts such as Davido and DJ Afro B.
