Yung Links Striving for the Best

Music is found in every known culture, past and present, varying widely between times and places. Scientists say that music may have been in existence for at least 55,000 years and the first music may have been invented in Africa and then evolved to become a fundamental constituent of human life.
Music is influenced by quite a number of aspects including social and economic organization and experience, climate, and access to technology. The emotions and ideas that music expresses, are what connects the artist and his music to his listeners.
Music's therapeutic value can not be ignored, not only when it comes to the audience but to the composers of the music themselves.

"When I dropped Devil Jumping in Your Lane I was going through major problems at the time and didn't know what to do and I just went to the studio and everythingI felt I just put towards the mic", said US emerging artist, Stephen Holman aka Yung Links as he opened up to Urban Craft about how his career in the music business had been thus far.

It just goes to show the power that music has and how valuable it is in our day to day lives.

Yung Links' journey, though colourful, has definitely had its ups and downs but ultimately it has shown tremendous growth.

"I grew up in a small town called Crewe, VA graduated from school in year 2006 and have been following my music career every since.
"It's been hard along the way but GIVING UP is not an option! I started off with a couple singles airing on radio platforms such as 'Devil jumping in Your Lane. Over time I've had music videos on Youtube as well and I now have an album that's on all major platforms and stores titled MyMixdown.
"Apart from that I also have two mixtapes out titled ARealMixtape and one I recently dropped titled 3OfEm. I continue to work at perfecting my craft each and everyday and thank God for this gift to be able to record music the way i do", he said.

With a few of his tracks having made it onto the airwaves, Holman is looking at going that extra mile with everything that he does and take his career to dizzy heights.
"I have 4 Number one titles on as well as music reviews. I was just in the DMV daily newspaper not too long ago.
"I'm actually involved in several projects right now but I'm not in any position to share the details as yet, all will be made official in due time. I am working on numerous things as well right now, from producing to trying my hand at making beats etc", said the musician.

He does it, not just for himself but his family, especially his daughter whom he made special mention of.
"My long term goals are to continue striving for the best.... the best thing for me and my career and continue striving for my daughter... and family", said Stephen.
