Genuene : "Voice of the Forgotten Ones"

They say that it takes more than just talent to make it in the game, you constantly have to adapt and reinvent yourself.

Baltimore Maryland artist, Genuene, whose music career kicked-off back in 2006, has had to do exactly that over the years and more importantly now, in order to stay relevant. In doing so, the musician/producer seems to have found his true calling......

"I have reinvented myself into a woke artist who decided to stand up for those who wanted a voice but did not know how to find it. My pastor calls me the 'voice of the forgotten ones'. I take great pride and knowing that my music has touched the lives of so many people who have been suicidal, depressed, oppressed or left for dead", he said.

During the course of that time he of course established himself in the industry with a mixtape series called the Collington project (1 through 4) that led to a number of recognized record execs and companies wanting his signature.

"I have done albums and mixtapes like Especially for You, Pardon my Interruption, Gone too Far, The Collington project (1-4). I'm currently working on an alternative album series right now that is called Pain and Happiness Through Melody and Feelings and I have also produced for several artists in the Baltimore and Towson area", said the musician/producer.

Genuene, who said he was currently in the running to be on Billboard 100 for Christian hip-hop is busy in the studio working on a number of projects that will surely start filtering out onto the market before year-end.

"I am currently working on part 4 of the Pain and happiness through Melody and feelings series. In May of 2018 I dropped, alongside Smokey Jamez, an album titled Believe and A time Will Come and this July I will be dropping a new album under Splash Boiz Entertainment titled The Stay Woke Project.
"This project is near and dear to my heart because it speaks about America, its social/political climate from yesteryear to the present and ultimately in the future. On this project I'm working with Sekou Tha Maddmann from Seven Soundz, Label Mates Civillie Da Don, Brian Fury, Azon Blaze. I also had the pleasure of working with New York's Slim Rich and Minneapolis own Lyrically Poetic and also new but powerful artists in Regina Hicks and Rissa Roo", said Genuene.

The musician is looking forward to not only putting out the new music but continue on  his admirable mission to speak and fight for those who can't.

"I plan on releasing the Pain and Happiness Through Melody and Feelings 4 album in September and releasing part 2 of the GPain Saga and the Gatewae Saga as well. I look forward to being able to speak for those who don't have a voice. I pray that hip hop R&B gospel and other forms and genres will go back to the days where music was still about substance and not just about beats", he said.

"Shout out to Urban craft magazine for speaking for the generation that is upon us. A special shout out to Futuristic Global entertainment, Splash Boiz entertainment, Seven Sounds, Lortrisha Productions and the other labels and entertainment companies that are playing their role and returning music to its glory days", he added.
