Music is Matter of Taste for Aniello Guerra

House music is a genre of electronic dance music created by club DJs and music producers in Chicago in the early 1980s. While house displayed several characteristics similar to disco music, which preceded and influenced it, as both were DJ and record producer-created dance music, house was more electronic and minimalistic.

Sub-genres have sprouted from house music over the decades with Electro House,  Deep House and Future House taking centerstage.
Electro house, arguably the most popular, can trace its roots to electro, electroclash, electropop, synth-pop, and tech house. The term has been used to describe the music of many DJ Mag Top 100 DJs, including Daft Punk, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell, Skrillex, and Steve Aoki.

Electro-house is typified by its heavy bass. This is often in the form of buzzing basslines, such as those created with sawtooth waves and distortion.

On the other hand, Deep house originated in the 1980s, initially fusing elements of Chicago house with 1980s jazz-funk and touches of soul music.

Future house is described as an electronic dance music genre that emerged in the 2010s United Kingdom, described as a fusion of deep house, UK garage and other techniques of EDM.

Urban Craft talked to Italian music producer, Aniello Guerra, who is no stranger when it comes to any of the aforementioned genres.

In our brief chat, the Deep House|House|Electro House|Future House producer invited us into his world and shared with us his musical origins.

"I've been making music for quite a while now, 20 years to be more accurate. I started, out like anyone else who does music, in a band, as a keyboardist. Later, as a solo artist, I started to establish myself a little bit.
"My interest has always been in electronic music so I started producing music myself and making it available to the world.
"But as you know, this industry is not so easy to get known and as I always say music is a matter of taste. It takes a lot of patience to build a small fanbase and then keep it", said the producer.

Guerra has proved his mettle against the best ot them and won himself a number of remix competitions over the years.
"I've won several remix competitions on Metapop, you probably know this page. With my own stuff I have had partial success, on Soundcloud my music is not so bad, and also on Spotify Itunes I can not complain. You have to listen to my music, and then judge if it meets the tastes of others", said Aniello.

"I was very proud of these projects, the artists liked what I produced there", he added.

The producer gave us an insight into how he himself comes up with his studio masterpieces.
"I'm actually focused on my own stuff right now. I am currently working on a new Deep House, House track, but there is still a lot to be done. I like to be inspired by other artists in this genre. So I can gather some ideas, and then concentrate on my songs.
"I always start with a chord so that I can find the right melody. Then I gradually add drums and the basses. But as I said it is a lot of work, until I am satisfied with the result", said Guerra.

While at the same time trying to create something new, Aniello wants to also be in a position to inspire those that listen to his music.
"My goals are to inspire many people with my music and then create something new. My style is different, so I want to impress many with it", he said.
