Stonehouse Jack Takes New EP to the People

With their latest EP now available on all online platforms, Birmingham based four piece alternative rock band, Stonehouse Jack is more than eager to hit the road and share the new music with the fans.

With the EP out (and out of the way), the band's focus now turns to the live shows. The groups goal is after-all, quite simply, to make more music, share it, enjoy themselves and see how far they can take it.
"Our Jinba Ittai EP is now available on Spotify, Amazon, Apple Music, iTunes, Deezer and more. Our social media and free streaming of our EP and music video can be found via our website www.stonehousejack.com. We’re now working on the live shows, with more gigs in London and Birmingham soon", said 1/4 of the band, Pippa 'Pip' Try.

The group shared with us some of the shows that music fans alike can certainly look forward to in the coming weeks.
"Stonehouse Jack is putting on a gig with Mr Blade Promotions and Friends at the Flapper in Birmingham, UK 28th September 2018 along with Rebel’s Kiss, Mistrusted and Harlequin’s Kiss. It’s a cooperative, independent effort between all the bands, providing a unique opportunity to showcase our music.
"We will also be supporting Duchess on Saturday 24 November 2018 at The Unicorn, Camden, with two more bands still to be announced", she said.

>< BACKGROUND

Pip (guitar and vocals) founded the band with Simon Hill (bass) after jamming guitar at weekends, eventually writing and recording a homemade EP called Dig Deeper. That led to Pip meeting producer George Shilling at a free Music Producer’s Guild event in Birmingham, followed by successful crowdfunder to record a new EP.
Since then Stonehouse Jack has evolved with Paul Hennefer joining on lead guitar for our Jinba Ittai EP (2018), which was recorded with George.
The group hit the gig scene as a full band back in January 2018 and Stonehouse Jack now has Ade the Blade on drums, and new bassist Sandy.
"We hit the gig circuit with our EP’s full release in January 2018. So far we’ve played Scruffy Murphy’s in Birmingham, New Cross Inn’s Four Sticks Classic Rock All Dayer in London, The Globe in Glossop with Silent Victory and most recently An Alternative Gathering back in London at The Bird’s Nest. We’ll be playing in Birmingham and London again before the end of the year. Our journey has been a blast so far, with epic amounts of hard work more than matched by fun, with more to come.
"We successfully crowdfunded £5,000 online including £2,500 match funding from Arts Council England and we have a set of gig ready, original songs. We also have an independent and professionally made EP and music video online now, and it’s great to see our music being discovered and enjoyed", she said.

Everyone in the band has a long history and love of music, playing other styles and with other bands. Paul, Ade and Sandy bring a wealth of performance experience and knowledge of the current music scene.
Pip’s arts and project management skills play a part, coordinating the crowdfunder and production managing the music video and EP release. Pip previously worked with Jason Weidner on Serena Chloe Gardner’s award winning short film Lady in the Park (2016).
"The combined experience of all Stonehouse Jack’s members informs and supports everything we do, making it a collective effort. Professionally, we all have regular day jobs, and Stonehouse Jack is a labour of love around our otherwise normal working lives", said the co-founder of the band.
