A ‘Rare Black Diamond’ by the name of Konanani

She is a “a rare black diamond” and "unapologetically black”, a young woman who is determined to not only put herself on the map but is also passionate about contributing towards the growth of her motherland and people.
This strikingly gorgeous beauty decided to share a bit about herself with our readership. Below is the South African model’s story in her very own words……….

My name is Konanani Ramakulukusha, 21 years of age, I am currently doing my Bachelor of education at Unisa. I was born and bred at Tshakhuma Mutsindoni village, I’m a third born of four.
I was raised in a society where black is defined as ugly. Whenever I’d tell people that I want to be a model, I’d be laughed at, because of the shade of my skin, but because I'm persistent, and don't allow anyone to define me or stand in between of what I believe in, I decided to overcome all odds, spread my wings and go after what I want.
In as far as my accomplishments, I count being the 1st princess of Miss Beauty and the brains (2017) and Miss Beauty in Christ (2015) on my list.
I’m currently a freelance model that specializes in commercial print, fashion shows, beauty pageants.

My intermediate goal is to contribute in changing Africa, by giving back to those around me in whatever way possible. I’m also doing everything that I possibly can to get more gigs in my modelling career.
In the long term, the plan is for me to complete my qualification in education, enrol to study media studies as well, it is something that I’ve always been interested in and hope to pursue one day.
Apart from that I’m also focused on building my career to the level where I’m in a position to be a brand ambassador for internationally-recognized companies like Revlon, adidas, puma or Nike. I wouldn’t mind being a regular on billboards as well.
In closing, my is Konanani Ramakulukusha, a rare black diamond. A beautiful daughter of the beautiful mother Africa. Unapologetically Black. The present future of Africa.
