Popular Zimbabwean DJ Takudzwa 'TK Beatz' Machumo famous for introducing the "Ciroc Saturdays" has partnered up with dancehall stronghold Judgement yard from last Friday to present the concept dubbed "Freaky Fridays" and hopes this can be an every Friday gig that
people look forward to. Last Friday Bodyslam Family's Dj Trouble real
name Simbarashe Chakare graced the night spot and staged an electric
performance for the revelers.
The once popular joint 1+1 Club Happy located at LongCheng Plaza in
Belvedere seemed to have lost its flair judging from last year as it
did not attract as many people as it used to the previous year,
however the management is looking forward to turn around the fortunes
of the entertainment night spot with the Freaky Fridays concept.
Freaky Fridays front man Dj TK Beatz said the concept premiered last
Friday and he is happy with the results and will be officially
launching it today.
"Freaky Fridays is a new and hyped concept designed for our valued
clients at Club 1+1 happy situated in Belvedere, it involves a fusion
of good music, promotions, games, and a good atmosphere for our
audience to come and enjoy quality entertainment on a Friday. We
combined a solid team of Harare's finest club spinners including
Judgement Yard, dj Iroq, dj Chill, dj Jerry Springer including myself
TK Beatz complimenting the Concept.
"We have been experiencing a good turnout on Fridays considering the
current harsh environment of the so called January disease so we
decided we package the Night and provide the revelers with good
quality entertainment. Our doors open from 7pm and its free admission
till 10:30pm creating that after work wash down atmosphere," said Dj
Tk Beatz.
The Clubs management added that they are working tirelessly to improve
especially their Friday Nights and are hoping in future plans to be
hosting local acts both from the Zim dancehall and Hip Hop circles to
enhance the Dj performances to bring out the best Friday night in
