In spite of the reservations that many people might have when it comes to the nude art modelling industry and the endless stereotypes att...

The beautiful 22-year old has taken it upon herself to spread
awareness in the hope of doing away with the stereotypes and encourage more women
to consider taking up nude modelling as a career.
"Self-confidence is the key and women should love their
bodies regardless of whatever shape or size and nude art helps us as women to realize
that.
"I want more than anything else to make people aware of
what nude art is and put to rest all this stereotyping about it being
pornography when clearly it is not. I would really encourage other ladies to
pursue nude art modelling, it is not only empowering but a confidence-booster
as well", said Matsane.
We asked the The Nelspruit Mpumalanga born-and-bred model herself
how and where her blossoming career started.
"I initially started out doing theatre, acting and pole
dancing. It was after a photoshoot that was organised for us as dancers that one
of the photographers told me that I had caught his eye and that with not only my
looks, but my confidence as well, I could pursue modelling as a career.
"It was after the photographer, whose name is Blunt, did
another photoshoot for me that arguably one of the biggest models in South Africa,
Lerato Nadia Naidoo, took notice of my potential and helped organize a
photoshoot for me with Naked Truth magazine.
"Thereafter, I started attending more modeling
workshops and people who recognised me on radio and TV started calling me 'U babes
we nude'...which means 'nude babe' ......lol", said the 22 year old.
Matsane spoke highly of one of her idols, Marilyn Monre whom
she gives credit for being a pioneer and described as being simply ICONIC!
"Growing up, Marilyn Monroe inspired me a lot because she
was the world's most recognized nude art model.
"She is, was and will always be an icon to other models
like me out there, she paved the way for all of us", she said.
"I want to be in a position where I can inspire some of
the young 'thick' girls out there who aspire to do models but are more often than
not, ashamed of their bodies", she said.
Modelling, in whatever capacity, requires that one stay in shape,
take care of their looks and eat right among other things, we enquired from 'U babes
weNude', as she is affectionately known by her followers how she herself does it.
After all, those striking looks and toned-body definitely do
not take care of themselves!
"As a model, you have to be dedicated to staying in shape,
I am a professional dancer too so exercising comes easy to me. My daily workout
includes attending gym-sessions where i do yoga classes too.
" I have a personal trainer in Moses Mentshe, who is also
a soccer player. He is the one who makes sure that I am 'religious' about staying
fit.
"Since I became a model, I am no longer eating meat and
food with unsaturated fats. I don't use that many chemicals on my skin either....I
do so to maintain my skin's natural look", said Matsane.
Besides modeling, Anicky said she was doing theatre and exotic
dancing as well because he was in love with art. She is also a part-time
student @ Trifocus Academy where she us doing both Sport Management and Coaching
Science.
The goal-oriented model said that in the next few months she
sees herself ressurrecting her acting career and owning a modelling & dancing
agency where she would identify and nurture upcoming talent.
Anicky is also in the running for the 'Queen Of Africa' crown.
"Last year I was nominated in the Queen of Africa
peagent but I unfortunately could not attend the event because of family
commitments.
" I have been selected again and I hope this time I
will be there to contest and hopefully fare much better. Regardless of the
outcome, I will still remain on my career path and keep doing my best to attain
my goals", she said.
