While his famous dad was celebrating the launch of yet another album, local rapper Teysean followed in the heels of his father by dropping his own.
Titled #House Of Stone, his debut 14 track album was officially released onto the market on the 15th of October.
Teysean is of course son to revered reggae legend Trevor Hall (affectionately known to many as Ras Jabu)
"The Moxinator hosts the friday cyphers on HipHop Havoc, StarFm and just before independence week he makes us go head to head for the grand prize. I went home after qualifying and started writting. I went back on air independence day and slayed my competitors but funny enough never got the prize. I returned to the studio and recorded the verses for what became #HouseOfStone, the track.
"After the completion of the album me and my team went back and forth on names finally reaching the conclusion that it had authentic zim elements though its mainly english derived but the stories resonated more with my peer groups, fans and the older generation as Zimbabweans. Which then inspired the name House of Stone as a son of #DzimbaDzaMabwe who shall continue the legacy and carry the torch", explained Teysean while speaking to Urban Craft magazine in a recent interview.

The 14 songs that make up his debut effort include The Future, House of Stone, The Grind, No Worries ft Apollo RSA, Ama Be Alright ft Mile, Evryday & Night ft Chariot of Fyah, Hands & Knees, L.O.V.E ft F.L (Ruva), Contraband ft Apollo RSA & MaQk, Thrilla Manilla ft Trac Killa & Tricky J, HIWE Remix ft Arcane & Wishiz, Me & The Homies ft F.L & Apollo RSA, Sando and Do My Dance.

Teysean's music is drawn from life itself and its experiences and this album is a perfect reflection of that as it touches on a potpourri of issues that we face in today's world.
"I tend to look at the things we go through, our way of life, the trends we set as musicians and creatives. The song 'Sando' is a perfect example of our Zimbabwean way of life how we greet each other and xchange pleasantries.
"On the other hand, 'The Future' touches on points that are affecting most young people on the come up but still trying to convince our peers and elders to support our future endevours.
"Perseverance, in the form of a drive that keeps us going, accomplishments we managed to achieve and overcome, innovation, mentorship, breaking barriers of wat we follow to what they should follow", said the rapper.

The credits on his album read like the who's who list in as far as local hiphop is concerned. There was room for producers and artists from down South as well, something that gave the project a lot of flavour and regional appeal.
"I worked with quite a number of people on this project, from my Zim version of 40 Shebib producer and engineer Kripmaq @AmvisInstruments (Zim) to Apollo RSA formerly known as J Enigma @BadSociety (S.A), 2014 ZimHasGotTalent winner singer Divine Chitubura, Upcoming vocalist & rapper F.L (Zim), Producer E-Major @EMajorProduction (Zim), Producer & beatmaker Slasha Beats @AmvisInstruments  (Cyprus), Producer & beatmaker CP7 ChrisBeats (Zim), Rapper & producer Tricky J @WinnerCircle (S.A), Upcoming rapper Track Killa, Wishiz & #Run263's Arcane, Producer Klassiq @GRecords, Singer & songwriter Mile & Upcoming reggae & dancehall singer Chariot of Fyah (Zim)", he said.

The rapper said that besides helping build the foundation for the local music industry, his goal was to put out a product that would be at par with international standards.
"With this particular project, the intention is to lay the foundation, content, consistency, authenticity, while at the same time giving fans the belief that zimhiphop can go toe to toe with international artists and projects.
"People should understand Zimbabwe has no music industry as of yet, we the entertainment personal are the industry in the making. Thus making us more of independent artists than industry artists.
"My aim is to make this album internationally saleable, marketable & stand a chance for credible award nominations, open door for more international features most of all attract foreign investment for future projects", said Teysean.

It remains to be seen whether the young man will scale those same dizzy heights as his father but one thing's for sure, with this album, he has taken positive strides towards one day achieving that goal.

Fari Teysean Hall is the son of legendary reggae musician Ras Jabulani Trevor Hall.
He has studied music production, sound engineering and events management at Northampton University in the U.K.
He is one of the founders of award winning Amvis Instruments (AmvisMusicGroup).
The young man had 3 mixtapes to his name prior his to his debut album House of Stone, and has been active on the music scene since 2008 doing production, radio presenting and training @InspirationFM (U.K), artist management and events management (Changamire HipHop Festival, Rap City, Empire263 and 194 Entertainment).
