Germany based singer Kim Morales feels that her current single 'EO, Nothing Without You', is one that speaks to the heart and is a direct reflection of her own life's experiences.
"This is a song that I've always wanted to perform live on stage over and over again with the reason being that it portrays a chapter in my own life.
"In the song, as well as the video, the bridge is symbolic in that it represents a 'thing' that can connect people or places but at the same time can seperate them.
"I personally lived that moment on a bridge, crossing the river in Düsseldorf, Germany while saying goodbye forever to a loved one and that is one of the main reasons why I wrote this song", said the singer who relocated to Germany from Mexico when she was 18.

This is a song that she hopes will resonate with a lot of people out there who have had to say goodbye to a loved one at one time or another.
"The love story is a very special one that concerns every person who has ever had to say goodbye to those that they loved.
"In many cases it is not possible to stay together, no matter how much you try and many family members or friends have to go their separate ways because of different reasons like religion, politics or numerous other external factors that go against their own wishes", said the songstress.

'EO, Nothing Without You' is sung in both english and her mother tongue spanish. The singer lauds Puerto Rican singer and 'Despacito' hitmaker, Luis Fonsi for bringing their language and culture into focus.
"I sing in English and also in my mother tongue Spanish because it is the language of my heart.
"After 'Despacito', people all over the world wanted to listen to this beautiful language.
" It brought about a new appreciation for our language and culture and since then my own following has grown with people wanting to understand my music. It makes me proud!", said Morales.

Kim comes from a music family, with her mother being a choir director and her father a pianist.
"I was singing since I was 4 and made a professional dance school of Arts study in Mexico City. I still work as a dance teacher in a theatre school, as well as a Zumba instructor through workshops", she said.

Speaking to Urban Craft from the comfort of her home in Cologne, the singer shared with us her journey from Mexico to Germany and what made her fall in love with Cologne.
"When I was 18 years old I came to Germany with my ex boy friend. We travelled with a backpack through Europe and passed through some of the world's beautiful cities, from Rome, Paris to Florence before we settled in Cologne. I got out of the train and it was in love at the first sight ...what a marvel of a city it was!
"After a couple of months I met Producer and Event Manager Just Ptaj from Hamburg, a well known music producer with whom I signed a 4 year contract with before I went on to tour the majority of Germany', said Kim.

The singer said she owed the late Just Ptaj, among other people, a lot of gratitude for helping her find her footing when she launched her music career.
"I worked on a christmas project called La Misa Criolla by the Argentinian author Ariel Ramírez. I also sang as a soloist in the second part and recorded with EMI -Electrola. Just Ptaj (Angelo Productions) who was also the manager for Willi Millowitsch, Olivia Molina and Jose Feliciano, supported me a lot in the early stages of my journey.
"I was to meet Gumak media along the way and these incredible guys worked with me on my first singles 'Dance with You' and 'Amore', which won first place in the Mallorca Music Charts (2003).
"Later I got married and got two beautiful children half - Mexican half - German. After my 'baby pause' I came back to work with my old producer, Carlos Peron, most notably on my sport song 'Winner' and now EO, Nothing Without You", she said.

Morales also hopes to one day (soon) branch out into film and showcase her talent there as well.
"In the future I want to get more involved in the film industry...I'd love to play a mexican latina in a comedy action film...that would surely be fun!", said Kim.
