Talented Zimbabwean singer/songwriter, Best Masinire, believes that his brand new offering is exactly what his nation needs right now and promises to take his audience on a faith-filled journey through this album.

Aptly titled Mashoko/Words, the 11-track album is set to be launched in the capital city (Harare) on the 5th of October.
“I believe the album Mashoko/ Words is what our beautiful nation, and the continent at large, needs at this particular point in time. The bible says death and life are in the power of a tongue... People need to learn how to speak because you can never separate a man from his words. Of the 11 songs on the album, most of them carry faith filled words”, said Masinire.

The Harare-based musician, who was evidently in high spirits as the launch date draws near, delved a little deeper into the process of making the album and gave us an idea of what to expect when the album hits the market.
“I was prophesying into the future, speaking what I want to see as I was being guided by the word of God- on songs like Kwese, Kangoma, God is Good, Magonhi, handisi kumira, I Belong, to mention but a few.
“I believe a word is a seed and this album is the seed I'm planting into the hearts of many. Many people are going through challenges that they don't know how to get out of but the word of God talks about the power of attorney-words. The power that God gave each individual to change circumstances with our mouths. Which is why I called the album Mashoko/ Words”, he explained.

The musician worked with producers like Wisdom Nyaparami, Ela Bass, Simba, E Jay and Tapiwa Macelo, there’s also a duet with E Jay on a song tilted ‘Thanks a billion’.
On the night of the launch, Masinire will of course be ably- supported by the likes of Mathias Mhere  and other artists in their own right like J. Soldier, Tawanda Midzi, Hey Hey Preacher, Flame B, Malcom and Minister Tait.

Urban Craft will surely find its way to the launch and join those in attendance in celebrating one of the best emerging voices on the scene right now.
See you there!
