Work on South African hiphop / alternative/neo-soul musician Psykaytic’s much anticipated debut EP is finally underway. She confirmed as much in a recent interview with Urban Craft magazine.

Though no official release date for her EP (titled ‘THE OPPOSITE’) has been set, Psykaytic said that relevant details will be made available in due course.
“The official release date is not available yet hence I’d like to take time to perfect my music, I mean I can work on one hook the whole day to make sure that the keys and melodies of both my voice and the beat are corresponding... whenever it's ready to be released, I'll definitely announce on my social media platforms for my supporters (I call them my ‘Tarantulas’ by the way)”, said the artist whose real name is Keamogetswe Matlomabe.

According to the rapper, her upcoming EP will comprise of 5 tracks, the majority of which are produced by Frxsh Kxng with one track going to Katnificent, another producer in his own right.
“The major inspiration behind this whole project is basically my whole life and the things I've been through since it's my first EP... some of the topics that I tackle include depression, because I've been through it, there's also a song that talks about the dark side of social media and it's preferences... the rest is just basically my life story but I'm not getting too deep as I'm still building my fan base and also building trust between my Tarantulas and I.
“I'd like my Tarantulas (I'm not comfortable with calling my supporters fans) to know that there's always light at the end of the tunnel and I'd also like them to take lessons from the messages that I'll be putting in the the one that talks about social media... that they are enough and to always be themselves because at the end of the day that's what makes a person authentic”, said Psykaytic.

Having recently finished her studies, the musician said that her goal for 2019 was to release as much music as she can and also make time for her modelling career.
“Apart from the EP I'm currently working on a few endorsement deals (I happen to be a brand ambassador for a couple of organizations), more photoshoots since I also model, more music mahn! Last year I didn't release a lot of music but this year the major goal is more and more music, more shows to perform at and of course more features and interviews”, said the 18 year old.

Psykaytic has already shared the stage with some of South Africa’s biggest artists with one of those occasions being the ‘Re-Up Party’ at Kagiso Stadium late last year where names like Gigi Lamayne, Londie London, Emtee, Priddy Ugly, Miss Pru and a few others rocked the crowd. She also had the honor of being part of celebrated rapper AKA’s ‘Touch My Blood’ tour, which also featured household names like Sho Madjozi and OkMalumkoolkat, among others.
“I'm very proud of what I've achieved thus far, only last year I got the opportunity to share the stage with some of the musicians that I admire and look up to in this industry, the likes of Gigi Lamayne, Londie London, Emtee and AKA. There's definitely more BIGGER and better things ahead!” she said.

Her most notable projects to date include Try Me Remix_(2015), Black and White_(2015), Dance With a Rebel_(2016), No fear_(2018), Purple August_(2018).
