US singer/songwriter Tim Cote looks back at performing on the stage of world-renowned singing competition ‘The Voice’ as one of the highlights of his career. After all, what else could beat performing live for iconic names like pop singer Christina Aguilera, country music great Blake Shelton, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and producer Pharrell Williams?

It is an experience that the musician cherishes even to this day and one from which he managed to pick up a few lessons that no doubt gave his career a new impetus.
“Back in 2015, I was fortunate enough to be chosen to perform on the hit television show, NBC’s ‘The Voice’. I went through open auditions in New York and made my way to Los Angeles where I was able to sing in the ‘blind audition’ round in front of Blake Shelton, Xtina, Pharrell Williams, and Adam Levine. The opportunity was amazing and it taught me a lot as an artist and made me grow”, said Tim while speaking to Urban Craft magazine recently.

The South-eastern, Connecticut born singer recalled some of the other ‘golden moments’ that have moulded him into the musician that he is today.
“Throughout my years as an artist, I had shared many moments with some of the names in the country music business. I was able to play an event in my hometown for the ‘Mother’s Against Drunk Driving’ at Mohegan Sun Casino in CT for several years, which I shared the stages with such artists as Maggie Rose, Austin Webb, Montgomery Gentry, Dan and Shay, and Scotty McCreery. Through other opportunities I created as friendship with Jason Aldean’s drummer, Rich Redmond and have played shows with him and other friends back in CT. In 2017, I released my first EP album, which featured my first single, ‘Small Town Boy’. This album was a little portion of who I am and who I am striving to be as an artist in Nashville”, he said.

Of late, Tim has been spending most of his time in the studio finalizing a couple of music projects that are slated for release in the coming months.
“Right now, I have a few projects in the works. Some of them are still not announced, but I am very excited to share the news in the future. I am currently in the studio working on some new music, which will be released in the next few months.
“My immediate goal is to just keep doing what I am doing. Playing shows and showing my crowd who I am as an artist is the key. Creating moments with them is what it’s all about. I am also working toward writing a lot more music this year with my buddies here in town for new singles, albums, or even to pitch to other artists. My long term goal is to make it on a record label, and be able to perform on a higher level with some of my favorite country artists who inspire me to be better each and every day”, said the singer/songwriter.

For the country singer, the journey has been nothing short of exhilarating and he is certainly enjoying the opportunity of being able to perform and interact with music lovers everywhere.
“The journey in the industry has been a fun one for sure. As an independent artist you are still pushing and grinding with the best musicians this town can offer and let me tell you there is plenty! I am enjoying playing for the crowds that want to come hear me play, and it is only going to get more exciting as the day go by”, said Tim.

The singer, who is also a gifted drummer and guitar player, a self-taught one by the way, is without a doubt establishing himself as a reputable brand and one of the artists to look out for in the years to come.
“At a young age I found singing a passion of mine. More of the sports player most of my life, I turned to music and my singing in my teen years. I expanded my talents to musical instruments (drums and acoustic guitar), which with many hours of practice was self-taught. As I went into college, I formed an acoustic band with my good friends and started performing around town. I did that for about 2 years, until I joined another local country-rock band called ‘Branded’ as their frontman and lead singer.
“I had a lot of success getting my name known as we travelled and played throughout the New England region. I left Branded to move to Music City, Nashville, TN in October of 2017 to pursue my dream of being a country singer, and in a short period of time here in town I have started to make a name for myself in playing the downtown circuit, as well as playing songwriters rounds around town”, he said.
