The second quarter of the year looks like it’s going to be a busy one for New Orleans musician DaVinci Celone. Apart from working on a brand new EP, the artist is, among other things, working on a radio show, a tour and a number of visual productions are also in the pipeline.

Speaking to Urban Craft in a recent interview, Davinci gave us an idea of what to expect in the coming months.
“I am working with a vocalist and we are writing songs for an EP. In the process of securing all the band members.  Will be shooting a video for the first song once we have all the members. Along with that I am testing soon to have my own radio show.  I'll talk about music, of course, but issues that affect us as people too. It'll be called DC Talks. I also got a request to do a theme song for a professional wrestler, so I'm working on that”
“My plan is to take advantage of these present opportunities and make a successful showing.  I’d like to impact music, inspire others, have an insightful talk show, write books, stay fit, travel the world, continue learning, and leave a legacy of greatness behind”, he said.

For Celone, pursuing music has always been a lifelong dream and he looks back on his initial years with a special kind of fondness.
“I am a lifelong music lover from New Orleans that has always had a penchant for writing and singing. My grandfather was a band leader and composer that toured with Duke Ellington. I started playing drums at five and guitar at seven. I wanted to touch people through music the way I was touched by the great songs I listened to”, he said.

The Los Angeles Film School graduate (with honors in Audio Engineering) and a recipient of the Best Rhythm Guitarist in a contest at one time continues to make strides in the entertainment industry.
“I continue to work in music as well as other entertainment media. I am called to do sync and music for television and film”, said DaVinci.

Having been in several bands and written for (and with) many artists, his immense talent keeps opening up more doors and avenues for him in the industry and it’s a trend that the musician hopes will carry on for years and years to come.
”I started out in New Orleans studios. I was actually there recording when I was approached to become a session guitarist. I worked with many Rhythm and Blues artists, Gospel singers and rappers.  They loved my playing, but really liked my approach to songwriting and production. The owner had me write songs for Ericka Badu and some popular rap artists, which he presented to them.  After favorable results I began working with more artists and doing shows with them. Co-writing an album with II Samuel and recording all guitars and bass on the tracks brought me to the attention of Shirani Rea, a music distributor in New Orleans.  So impressed with the songs she called her Universal Music contact to sign Sam.
“I worked on plays and short films, composing songs. In Hollywood I worked with several producers and artists in various genres as a songwriter and have begun preparing for a radio show and podcast. Currently I am writing new songs for a European tour with a new band”, said the exceptional guitarist/songwriter.
