Bronx, New York hiphop artist ‘Ant Tha Giant’ (ATG for short/ real name is Anthony Mitchell) took time out from his busy schedule to chat with us recently. In our conversation, the rapper touched on a little bit of everything --- from how his music career began to his current and future endeavors.

ATG has of course been active in the industry since 2012 and draws influence from the likes of Eminem, D12, Ludacris and OutKast, among others. His style of rap often favors that of Eminem's and Hopsin's as it's both raw and very animated.
“Since I started my career in music in 2016, I've released a bunch of singles, done quite a few collaborations with other artists and I also released my first full length 16 track mixtape in 2017, titled "Welcome to Ant'z World". I've performed in shows all across New York City as well as been given the opportunity to perform in Washington DC. I am only getting started and have so much more to accomplish, but I'm proud of how far I've come so far”, he said.

In regards to the first 5 months of the year and what he has been up to, this is what Antony had to say about a period of time that he could only describe as ‘eventful’….
“2019 has been pretty eventful for me thus far. I've been releasing a song per month for my fans so they can vibe to out my music consistently. So far I've released 3 singles, 2 of which will be on my upcoming album at the end of the year and I've also released one remix. I've also performed in a few big shows this year as well which were all exciting. It's always a fun time to perform, gain new fans and make new connections.
“As mentioned before I released 3 singles and one remix. The first single is titled "Dream Chasers" which released in January and featured two of my fellow artist counterparts and friends, Soul Alive and Trey Tuck. This song is special to me because it embodies the message of chasing your dreams no matter what. It's an anthem and dedication to all the people in this world who go against the grain of societal norms and standards to do what they love to do in their lives. I also released a music video to this song, which is available on YouTube. The second single I released in February is titled "Black Power”. This song is important to me because it touches base on all of the struggles that the black community go through and face in America, but in turn it gives the black community hope, strength and empowerment, despite all of the shortcomings we have faced in the past and continue to face until this day. The music video for this song, which is very powerful, is also available on YouTube. I hope you'll go check it out”, said the rapper/singer/actor.

He also gave us an idea of what exactly his latest single 'MTA', that was released in April talks about.
“In March I released a remix and music video to J. Cole's Middle Child song. J. Cole is one of my favorite artists so I definitely wanted to do my own rendition of his song. This song is available on Soundcloud and the music video is on YouTube. Lastly in April, I released my latest single "MTA". I'm from the Bronx, New York and living in the city, New Yorkers have the option to use public transportation to navigate and commute to where they need to go. This transit system is called MTA. However, this transit system often gives its passengers a lot of hassle. This song is basically a story I created to give listeners clear insight into how a normal day of traveling might be using this transit system. It's a pretty fun and comical song and I think you'd enjoy it. Each of my singles are available on all Digital Music Platforms. My May release will be coming out towards the end of the month so stay tuned for that”, he added.

Having done a lot in terms of pushing his brand in these last couple of months ATG said that he was hoping continue building up his fan base globally, doing more shows and festivals, consistently working on new music and releasing a song and/or video per month but more importantly, working on a new album (Wrath of a Giant).
“I want to continue making timeless music that people can relate to and can change the course of people's lives for the better. With the goal of 2019, of releasing a project per month and promoting/marketing each song accordingly, that will help me reach the goal of building up my fan base of people who genuinely love me and my music, to a grander scaled level. I’m looking to have at least 100,000 loyal fans by the end of 2020. I'm also looking to build up a strong team of like minded people around me, who will help to progress all of our successes together.
“The ultimate goal is for me to be able to live sufficiently and take care of my family doing what I love to do, making music. I want to be able to say I touched a million dollars plus some off of my music. I want to be able to tour the world internationally because I now have a loyal fan base of millions, worldwide”, he said.
