Having spent a considerable amount of time behind the scenes putting together new music, US pop singer/songwriter, Gabby Patrice says she is excited at the prospect of seeing how her fans and music lovers alike respond.

She has, of course, just dropped a brand new single titled 'Good as Gone' and has a lot of shows lined up in the coming weeks.
“I’ve been working like crazy on the pop music that I started releasing last year. Just recently, I released a song called "Good as Gone" on all platforms and on July 3rd I came out with a music video for the song!
“I want to continue on this same path. Since I have been working so hard on getting the music ready to release, now is the time to perform the music! I have shows planned for all around New England including Boston and Nantucket, as well as where I am living now, Nashville! I am excited to see how a crowd reacts to the music I have been working so hard to put out. I will also be writing songs for the fall to release!”, said Gabby.

For the Nashville-based artist, music is everything and put simply, it’s her own way of positively contributing towards the betterment of the human race.
“This might sound funny, but I don't feel like I have another choice. I played sports in college, graduated and had several well paying jobs. I have done everything but music up until three and a half years ago and since I made the move there is no looking back. I am far happier with myself. I create music and that gives me value. I feel valuable in what I am doing no matter what I am paid. If I were to quit, I would be going back to feeling like I am not contributing to the world and that is not something I would ever do. This job, this goal I guess is hard. But it is nothing compared to living in grey. There are hard times, poor times, and starving times that create moments that feel so much better because of what you have endured to get there. I won't be looking back. The fear of not doing it is what drives me to do it”, said the singer.

It has been quite a colorful career thus far for Gabby and she opened up to Urban Craft magazine about a few of her most treasured moments.
“It has been quite the ride. I was rarely playing shows and working in the corporate world up until the move to Nashville three and a half years ago! Once I was put into the "little fish big pond" scenario it helped me a lot as far as tough skin and growth went. I had to learn a lot of things the hard way, but for the most part have just been growing like crazy. I learned how to co-write, and since then my songwriting has gotten better and better. I am learning about networking, how to present myself and what to expect. I learned never to get my hopes up and to always be grateful for every single opportunity. I learned how important support is. I learned how important mentality is, and I figured out the beauty in many mistakes.
“I have come so far, playing dream venues like The Listening Room Cafe and Bridgestone Arena for Predator Game intermissions. I think singing my original songs on stage at the Listening Room with number one hit writers, and singing to a sold out Bridgestone Arena would be two absolute highlights of my last three and a half years”, she narrated.

She took us back to where it all began and shared a few lessons that she herself learnt along the way….from her very first EP, the effort she put in and the impact that it had on her listeners.
“My first EP was a lot of work and I ended up not wanting to keep it public. It was a lot of money and time and thought, and so it was a tough decision. But it was a project that I learned a lot from. I learned to stop being so nice and saying yes when the project is not going the way you want. I learned not to rush anything and that your music is your treasure that you can hold for as long as you want. I learned how to truly grateful for every single supporter. Most importantly, I learned that I wanted to sing and release pop music.
“Which led me to BAD GIRL! Bad girl was my first pop release and it means the world to me. It was a huge risk to change genres, and I was not sure how my fans would take it. Bad Girl continues to be the song that people talk about. It was a song about overcoming people taking advantage and it is empowering. As strange as it sounds, Bad Girl feels like a first born as far as my brand goes. It started it all and it will always hold a special place in my heart”, said Gabby.

Ultimately, the singer’s goal is to keep writing and travel the world while performing for as long as possible.
“I would love to write a couple more pop songs and release them so I can go on pop tours. I want to travel AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE and perform while doing it! My long term goal is to be a hit songwriter and a touring artist. If I tour for years and then settle down, I still want to write and continue to write for as long as I can. What I am doing now, writing and singing and playing shows, is my long term goal. I would just want to be playing far bigger shows and writing number one hits”, said the musician.
