For amazing country music duo, Leanne Weiss & Derek Allan, otherwise popularly known as October Rose, the best way to give back is through music!
“Music has always been a part of our identities, and if we didn’t write, sing and perform music on a daily basis, a piece of ourselves would be missing. We love what we do, and want to make a positive impact in the world with our music.
“We’ve had the opportunity to perform at events that benefit great causes, like pediatric and brain cancers. We also have more projects in the works that will benefit charitable causes and we are very excited to continue to give back in the best way we know how, through music”, said the duo.
Aside from confirming the exciting news that they are currently in the recording studio working on a few new singles, as well as performing around the East Coast, the band is, among other things, also reported to be gearing up for another tour this fall.
“Our plans include releasing some new music, a new music video, and continuing to perform for as many people as possible. Long-term, we’d love to establish ourselves as an award-winning, Top 40 country duo”, they said.
It has been quite a whirlwind ride for the band since they came together to form one of the most exciting duos in country music today. They reflected on a couple of standout moments for them so far….
“So much has happened in the past three years for us as a duo, but it’s been a rollercoaster ride! We’ve secured radio airplay for our debut single “Heartbreak Song,” been featured guests on TV and radio, released our first EP, and have been the opening act for great artists like Jake Owen, Russell Dickerson, and Tyler Rich. Our opening set for Jake Owen stands out particularly since it was the biggest show we have played as a duo to date. Seeing the crowd cheer and sing along to some of our tunes was a magic moment not to be forgotten”, said the duo.
Given how gifted October Rose is, there are certainly more memorable highlights and milestones to come in the near future, that’s for sure!
