Modelling has proven to be quite the experience for Texan beauty Renee May, it is a journey that has not only opened countless doors for her but given her a sense of fulfilment as well.

Speaking to Urban Craft magazine a short while back, the model opened up to us about her accomplishments thus far and what we can look forward to seeing from her in the time to come.
“It’s been an elevated learning experience! I love coming across unique personalities to network with in the entertainment industry. These are some of the best events I love to look back on. The first one that always wows me in the fashion world is Elan Productions: Passion for Fashion Show august 25th 2018, I had done my first promotion video that can be located on YOUTUBE under: Passion for Fashion-Promo Video. I love to look back on this show because it was the first fashion show I walked in yet one of the biggest shows as well. I walked in two segments in this show for JC Penny’s & Whatchamacallit designers. These videos can also be located on YOUTUBE under: (JC Pennys- elan’s productions “Passion for Fashion”) (Whatchamacallit-Passion for Fashion).
“It was such an honor to walk both brands because I have always bought prom and pageant dresses most of my life from them. Later on I got picked up by GLAD models last October so this will celebrate one year being signed on with my first agency, I like to look back to my 2nd fashion show but my first one representing GLAD models agency in the Fashion Management Moguls, Spring Sensation Fashion show. Walked one segment for an African designer, photos can be located on my Instagram (@reneemay_model).
“I also walked with Dragonfly agency in Dallas TX, one of the top 3 agency’s in the DFW. Then got into a couple of local DFW showcases thereafter with my first show case promotion being a social model gig/ media photography. It was in April of 2018 for Big Tuck, my first celebrity gig. His promotion for the month was Big Tuck & Chalie Boy trending Thursdays at Club Status in Dallas, TX. All the celebrities I’ve worked with so far have all been down to earth, kind and caring people who have a big heart”, said the model.

Renee is ambitious and very dedicated to her craft since it has always been a dream for her to model since she was little. The beautiful Texan said that her focus is on becoming the next top upcoming model out her hometown, getting her A+ photography / MUA (makeup artist) business out in the open to get booked for more fashion shows, photo shoots, underground R&B media/ social model gigs in the DFW.

Apart from that, Renee expressed a strong desire to, one day soon, make it to NYFW (New York fashion week). She is also aiming to take her hobby of making freestyle beat samples to the next sage but more importantly, Renee hopes she can inspire as many young women out there who are passionate about modelling and show them that dreams do come true!
“I’m working on fashion show calls for Dallas Fashion Week representing GLAD models agency, going to Glad Models Agency fashion school that teaches advance models how to walk fashion shows with new technique, how to make new poses, how to be a better overall model, and how to keep up with a healthier lifestyle. I’m going to bring more photoshoots in fall themes to the table and I’m also working with a fashion designer called Flobinna House of Fashion on her latest fall fashion collection. l’m in the process of putting together a zipper purse line called Renee May Creations and planning on going to show cases and events put together by 97.9 the beat, with one of the newest promotions being the D.T Genasis Tycoon Thursdays at Prime Bar in Dallas Texas”, she said
She has of course had quite an amazing journey in the industry thus far, one that kicked off when she won ‘Little Miss North East Texas’ in Dallas Texas before placing 11th place out of 200 girls in 2004 for International Miss Scholarship Program Pageant. Notably, Renee also came in 3rd at the Van Zandt County pageant (May 2011) and 2 years later she came in 2nd at the same competition.

Founding the Renee May-beginner workshops for modelling, photography, and makeup artists, where she teaches everyday people is a milestone for the model and so is having been chosen as a social model for Lil Flip & Twista showcase at Club Lola’s, Fort Worth TX December 10th 2018 and appearing in music videos by Fort Worth Pac and C-Will, among others.
“My two favorite music videos thus far include ‘I don’t know this’ by Fort Worth Pac (Feat. Alpachino) which was my first video that I had a lot of fun acting in. We had a pretend fight in the club we shot at. During the shoot the bouncer came over trying to bounce us out of the club and low key had to explain to him it was fake during a music video and his reaction was ‘why didn’t you say so?’ and left us alone to shoot the rest of the video (which helped make it look more realistic)
“The second one, ‘Stayed Down’ by C-Will (feat Rockamo) is my most experienced acting video yet and it can be found on YouTube as well. It was shot in a studio in Irving TX & American airlines parking garage, the same place Vanilla Ice shot ‘Ice Ice Baby’ I believe and it was 20 degrees that December night but with the wind it felt like 10, so we moved around a little more and had fun trying to stay warm. These 2 videos made me fall in love with acting in videos and the R&B underground music atmosphere”, she said.
