For Los Angeles based singer Jen Ash, there is no better feeling than that which comes from being on stage!

Speaking to Urban Craft magazine in recent times, the gifted vocalist shared her joy at being able to connect, through her performances, with music fans.
"I love performing, its what makes me feel alive, the vibe, the energy. This feeling of being on stage, its inexplicable, its Magic! Every show has pretty much the same songs but every time is different. I don't know how to explain it… after putting so much effort in creating these songs, you finally get to show it Live. Cant be thankful enough for that", said the gorgeous performer.

Stage work aside, Jen is pretty excited about some of the visual productions that she is putting together behind the scenes.

“Im actually working on my next music video that is going to be available by the end of the year. One of the songs that I wrote got pretty good feedback so I owe that to the people that support me and like my music. My team is more than ready for the next video, we just need to set up the concept and the date when everybody is available to shoot. I'm really excited for this next music video. The 1st one we did was fire so I'm sure this one will end up being even better. Cant wait", she said.

The singer said her hope was to carry on performing as much as she can and to also keep putting out amazing songs. She also took the time out to reflect on her journey in the industry thus far,
“The whole experience has really been interesting, I happen to live in Los Angeles and this city doesn't give you the time to breathe. You are always on the go, always making moves because here, its how it works. The good thing is when you know what you want, you are focused on your goal and you make things happen. But Im not gonna lie to you, its a hustle and you have to kinda make things happen on your own because nobody is going to do it for you or even help you.
“Rare are the people that believe in you, so you have to build this self-confidence and make sure you don't let people put doubt in you. I remember my 1st show, at The Whisky, a well-known place in Los Angeles, legendary place actually, everybody is here, and everybody is waiting for you to get on stage. You cant imagine the STRESS I had 5 min before the set time, the band is ready and you kinda wanna go home and cancel the show, coz if you messed up there is no way back, its not like you shooting a movie and you can make mistake and do it again. Then you get there and all the eyes are on you, waiting for you to open your mouth and sing and you do it, you beat the fear inside you and you own it. I remember just before performing my favorite song ‘All Alone, I looked up and thanked the universe for giving me the opportunity to do what I love. That's why you have to keep pushing, to keep working and hustling because as an independent artist you have to show the world who you are and its a 24/7 journey", she narrated.

The singer also took the time out to shower some love on all those that follow and support her musical exploits and said that it was them that kept her going!
“One day, I met this lady and she was super sweet and I got invited to this BBQ at her place and I kindly say ‘Yes even when I didn't know anyone there. I walked into the house and it was maybe I don't know 40persons. Each one of them came to me so excited to meet me, telling me how much they love my music. Those strangers giving me so much Love, it was priceless and that's what drives me. Those people inspire me and when you are tired and you doubt, you think about them, you think about all those people and how you CANT let any of them down. You are no longer just doing this for yourself anymore, you doing it for them too", she added.

Anyone who has been in the industry for a while will tell you that it is no ‘stroll in the park’, it definitely does take its toll on you but the key thing, as Jen suggests, is to be able to adapt to any situation that life throws your way.
“Lets talk about my last music video. We were supposed to shoot in this location in Santa Monica, concept was already set up, and everyone was scheduled on a day and a time. Then the location turn us down a week and a half before the date of the shoot. So we had to find a plan B and start a new concept, make sure the dancers, the make-up artists and all the staff was available for another time. Make sure the studios we wanted were available too, its a lot of stress, lot of drama to be honest but you have to learn how to deal with it. That's part of the game. And you cant allow yourself to drop a project when something goes wrong, you just have to deal with it. Every problem has a solution.
"The staff was incredible, very flexible, very patient, very easy to deal with, and thats something you have to be thankful for! They were amazing, no drama, no complaints, and open to any new last minute creative ideas. An as an artist its great to be adaptable to any situation. They were just awesome", she said.
