With a new celestial sound, Vicu takes you on a nostalgic getaway with his new single, “Back to the Future Love”; available on all streaming and downloading platforms. Music video to follow on August 14th, 2020.

After the success of his breakout EP “Complementary”, the self-taught producer and songwriter is looking to further cultivate his modern pop sound and fanbase with the new song. The spacey track is highlighted by Vicu’s smooth vocals and hypnotic lead guitar that is heard throughout. The drums drive the song bringing the listener on a journey to its insatiable hook.

Vicu cites the classic 80’s film, “Back to the Future” as an influence for the new track. Much like Marty fighting time to save the past in the movie franchise, “Back to the Future Love” embraces a romance that is temporary, and the excitement that goes along with chasing the clock.

“BTTFL (Back to the future love) is my tribute to, in my opinion, one of the best, most creative films ever made. Growing up this movie had a huge impact on me and  I always wanted to be like Marty Mcfly killing that guitar solo and in my own way I finally got to do that. The song is created to be a race against time. Myself as well as Matt Veirs of (VisionMattersGroup) produce the record and  I had the pleasure of having a very talented co writer (Dominique Pendrick Allen) create this record with me. It’s a love story but the catch is that your Dreaming and this adventure will only last until the morning. It's very powerful but in life at times can be fleeting. Love can be like that sometimes. Bittersweet. My hope/goal is that this song creates positive vibes and takes you on an adventure.”

The lyrics highlight this influence and the thrill of romance. “We got a fast car/ If you’re down for the ride or on for tonight/ You take me so far/ ‘Cause up this side there ain’t no red lights”. According to Vicu, though this type of love can be bittersweet, he hopes that the track will bring a positive vibe to the listener and take you on an adventure.

Songwriters: VICU Schek and Dominique Pendrick Allen. Production by Vicu Schek and Matt Veirs of Vision Matters Group.
