Multi-faceted singer/musician Kirsty Adams rebrands with track ‘How’
Somerset West, CAPE TOWN
Kirsty Adams, singer/songwriter, violinist, releases her latest single ‘How’ alongside her alias, MissSire. As Kirsty rings in the new year, she brings a new sound, a new artist called MissSire to the music streaming platforms.
‘How’ is a song that laments over the loss of an impactful role model and friend earlier this year. Kirsty deemed her the one of the mothers of female empowerment in her life, which is a quality that Kirsty continues to promote. She wrote the song in a day in the Abbey Road Institute studios in Midrand, and decided to feature it in her upcoming EP. Kirsty adds to the song in all its instrumental elements. Kirsty could not wait any longer after a pandemic ridden year to release the song as an introduction to her new artist persona, MissSire.
Kirsty co-produced the song with film music composer and lecturer at Abbey Road Instistute in Midrand, Ben Ludik. Mastering was done by Mike Zietsman, otherwise known as music artist PHFAT.
Kirsty Adams is a singer, songwriter and violinist from Cape Town. She has collaborated vocally, as well as with her violin, with South African artists such as Jazzuelle, Diiice, Sloani, Lize Mynhardt and Carol Thorns. She has performed across South Africa and New York City. When she is not writing songs, she is writing scores for films such as the SAFTA-award winning film ‘The Water Dancers’.
